Farm School—Spring 13-16 yo

Spring 2026—The Wild Pack (13-16 year olds)

This Session will be 4 Saturday afternoons in length, and for Ages 13-16

2026 Spring Session will take place on Saturdays March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, 1pm - 4pm.

This program is led by David, who has extensive knowledge in survival and bushcrafting. (See his bio for more details).

We’ll enjoy 4 afternoons together of outdoor forest and bushcraft fun. We will practice survival skills like making fire in challenging conditions, or building shelters that are wind and water proof. We will learn foraging and safe plant identification appropriate for the level of the participants. We will practice primitive forms of catching or trapping small prey, and learn problem solving for emergency situations. A mindfulness practice will be included as well, to regulate our senses and connect with the wilds around us. (a full curriculum is forthcoming)

This survival and bushcraft youth group is a space for young peers to find comaraderie in everything to do with living closely to the elements, as well as, having some fun with friends. Nature immersion with peers is not only for fun and learning, but also for our own mental health and wellbeing.

On the final day, there will be an opportunity for camping out for a night. This would be an add-on to the program, with parents consent and for an extra nominal fee. It would be a wonderful opportunity for youth to test out their survival skills that they will have learned in the four monthly lessons leading up to the camp out. This offering will depend upon families interest.
