This Camp Week will be 5 days, July 27-31, 9-3pm, and for Ages 5-14. A full week of outdoor farm and forest fun, with arts and crafts, and games too!

We are Waldorf-inspired and offer lots of games, arts & crafts, bushcrafting skills, farm activities, and mostly done outdoors in nature. We will explore the fields and forests, visit the farm animals, and engage in hands-on skill development and exploration.

Some possible activities we are planning for Summer Farm Camp include:

• an obstacle course (which was a big hit at last years camp)

• campfire cooking (regulations allowing) or using our woodcookstove

• nature arts (flower pounding, natural dye tye-die, willow weaving, wool felting/knitting/weaving, watercolour painting, etc)

• homesteading skills (animal husbandry, butter-making, herbal teas, baking, cooking, and food preserving, etc)

• hand tool skills (whittling, sawing, chopping, sanding, rasping, shovels, cutting, etc)

• bushcrafting (shelters, knots, firestarting, foraging, nature self-care, etc)

• outdoor games and sports (basketball, baseball/kickball, soccer, traditional group games, and circle games

• singing, verses, and stories (appropriate to the ages and abilities present)

All activities depend on the weather, the unique needs of each child, and the dynamics of the whole group as we progress through the week together.
